ABOUT GIUSEPPE

 Giuseppe Mammano, born February 28, 1975, in Cape Town, South Africa. Giuseppe was originally from Catania, Italy, but his parents were visiting family when his mother was nine months pregnant in South Africa. Giuseppe grew up in a very loving home with two younger sisters on the breath taking island of Sicily.  Giuseppe’s family decided to move to America in 2004 for many new opportunities in life. Giuseppe started playing in many rock bands and art would have never crossed his mind back then. The only thing he ever thought of was music. Then, Giuseppe was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Sicily Mammano in 2012. Sicily became the highlight of his life and music was becoming much less of a priority.  That is when Giuseppe discovered his amazing talent and love for painting. Giuseppe was working one day, painting the interior of a house when he saw this amazing ocean painting on the wall. It had him mesmerized and all he could think was, “I wish I could do something like that.” Giuseppe had always been very discouraged about art because when he was nine years old his art teacher said his drawing of trees looked like mushrooms. The entire class laughed and his art teacher told him that art was not for him. Later on, Giuseppe went on vacation in Florida and saw a man painting on the boardwalk. He admired him and wished to be able to paint how he did. The man encouraged Giuseppe so much that when he went home he got everything he would need to be able to create a beautiful masterpiece. That is when Giuseppe’s miraculous hidden talents were all revealed.
